Hannukah or the 'Festival of Lights' is celebrated usually in November or December. It is an eight-day festival that dates back to 200 B.C.

 

A 'Menorah' is used to light eight candles, as one is lit for every night of the festival. Sufganiyots (donuts cooked in oil) and fried potato latkes are especially popular during this time.
